Format used by Zeiss spectrometers for spectrum export. Typical file extensions are *.000, *.001, ... or *.dat.

The import routine has been extended with object generation 3.90: If a *.dat file contains more than 1 spectrum the user is informed about the number of spectra and can input the number of the wanted spectrum.

This is in particular useful if spectra generated by old versions of the Optoplex P software have to be analyzed. In this software you have the option to export all spectra  measured by a probehead to a single *.dat file.
